"Damn you, vile Rebel scum!" Darth Stewie emerges as the Dark Lord of the Sith in the Family Guy episode "Blue Harvest," and this clever wobbling take on the adorable but mischievous Stewie Griffin is one for all Star Wars and Family Guy fans to notice. The amusing 7-inch tall bobble head features Stewie in Darth Vader duds, perched atop the Death Star, wielding his trusty red lightsaber. Mad Cat Toys - Cool meets classic

This site has such a great assortment of toys! Everything from Urban Vinyl (Critterbox, Baseman, Jarvis & UNKL) to CoolRockets and even wooden toys.

But, that’s not all!  They even sell tin toys, cool modern day versions of yesteryear. Robots, cars and even a tin Roy Rogers horse. They have die-cast models of vintage cars (remember the old Woody?), a Coca-cola delivery truck, an AirStream trailer and more.

I don’t think I’ve come across another site on the web that has such a diverse assortment of toys. Books, like Dogzilla and CatKong…building sets, I could go on and on!

If you collect toys or know a toy collector, it’s worth a visit to Mad Cat Toys.

Tom & Jerry 20-Inch BobbleBank

Tom & Jerry 20-Inch BobbleBank

They fite, and bite, and will save your money! This giant double-wobbler has two bobbing heads, so the cat and the mouse can both agree (or disagree) with you all day long. Standing a whopping 20-inches tall, these are going to be fantastic centerpieces in your home, office, or TV room.

The picture just doesn’t do this piece justice. This is an amazing bank released by Funko, creators of the "Wacky Wobblers".

The detail on this bank is incredible and it’s 20" tall!

Definitely a great bank for kids or collectors!

UNDERDOG!

August 15th, 2006

Underdog 9" Vinyl Figure (SEPT PRE-ORDER)Underdog 9" Vinyl Figure (SEPT PRE-ORDER)

There’s no need to fear, Underdog is here!

Dark Horse continues their line of vintage cartoon characters with this high-quality roto-cast vinyl figure with none other than the intrepid toon canine, Underdog.

This powerhouse of a pooch burst onto the animation scene in 1964, and continued for a decade in a well-remembered NBC television show. Disguised as the wimpy Shoeshine Boy, our hero would emerge from a telephone booth as the mighty Underdog. He was most often saving his true love, Sweet Polly Purebred, from the dastardly clutches of villains led by Simon Bar Sinister. A hero for the ages!

Packaged in a full-color window box, Underdog stands nearly 9" tall. Officially licensed.

Funko Wacky Wobblers - Have a little FUN!

July 24th, 2006
Funko Tony the Tiger Wacky Wobbler

I am a collector…and one of the things I’ve been collecting for years is toys. But, not just any toys…Funko toys are the highest on my list.

What are Funko toys you may ask? Well, they began with the Wacky Wobbler…commonly known as a bobblehead. But, these are high-quality bobbleheads in spectacular packaging, the artwork on the box often rivals the coolness of the actual product. The best thing about these is the variety of characters they produce. Some are advertising mascots, such as Big Boy, Quisp or Old Navy Magic. Others are cartoon characters such as Underdog, Mr. Magoo and Speed Racer. Characters that bring back fond childhood memories. They don’t stop there though…they create their own characters such as Freddy Funko, Bone Daddy and the Beatnik.

Betty Boop Bobble CarI’ve lost count of how many Wacky Wobblers I own…I know I passed the 200 marker quite a while ago. Not to mention that Funko creates other awesome stuff too….the "Wacky Wisecracks", "Spastik Plastiks", "Fantastik Plastiks" and now "Bobble Cars" (see pic), "Bobble Breeze" and last but definitely not least banks!  Check out the Funko site to see all of their fun stuff.

Not only are these fun to collect, but there is an amazing community of collectors that can be found at: FunkoFunatic.com

Although I couldn’t make it to Comic Con this year, where the 4th annual Funko Funday took place, I was fortunate enough to make the convention two years ago in Vegas. I met some of the most amazing people at that convention. Such a fun, diverse, generous group of people I have come to know through the collecting of these toys.

I have to say…even as I write this, with a head-splitting migraine…I have to smile when I see Underdog smiling down at me from his perch in my cubicle. Not only does he bring back fond childhood memories, but I will always remember the wonderful people who have come into my life because we share the same love of collecting Funko. :)
